Most people think "WOW!!!" with these modern castles but I see them as a HUGE problem. To me, they represent what the NFL has become....Disgustingly gluttonous! As nice as L.A.'s new stadium will be, IT TOO will be old news within 3-5 years after opening when the next owner builds the "the new STANDARD of stadium"
And somebody ask me, after coming down on St Louis, Buffalo and even Miami, why has the NFL NOT come down on Lambeau Field??
Call me crazy but I wish the Rams played PERMANENTLY in the Coliseum. As you know, I like REAL open air stadiums with REAL grass. NOT the new sterile / semi dome places with plastic fields. Also, it's the .....LOS ANGELES Coliseum and not the Frenches Mustard Stadium this season and then Budget Rent A Car Stadium next year.
SIGH!!! I'll shut up. Just longing for the good ol days.
What can I say, gator?
Can't stop the future anymore than we can stop the tides. Lol.
The L A Coliseum is loaded with tradition, that's for sure. But as a football stadium, it kinda sucks.
The new palace will be infinitely more fan friendly. Seating, restrooms, Jumbotron(s), parking, neighborhoods, etc.
Can't wait!
