Watkins would be an improvement over anything we have on the roster (maybe with the possible exception of TA). My point is if you strengthen the WR and weaken the OL a bit, would it have contriubuted anything to our won loss column? There is the conception that you can get OL men from anywhere in the draft or UDFA and they can be fine. True there are quite a few OL that have been undrafted or lowly drafted that were studs, just as there have been highly drafted ones that were mediocre at best which enhance this perception. I am just not convinced the road not taken would have gotten us any closer to the promised land than we are right now. In the end it comes down to the QB and truth be told we would have been better served going Bortes than either Watkins or Robinson.
