.. But that also doesn't mean he starts week 1. And that's OK. He's had a total of 8 OTA practices and received some 1st team reps in the final 2-3 I believe. "Back in the day" teams would have been in training camp about 7-10 days by now. Camp is so short now- with no two-a-days- that even if he got all the 1st team reps from day one it may simply not be enough.
I'm not saying he won't start week 1. He might (and it would be cool for the kid to make his first start in his hometown city). He'll get the opportunity to show he's ready. But if they decide Keenum should start week 1, 2, maybe 3 I don't think it's an indictment of Goff at all or an endorsement of Keenum. It's just a matter of reps and time. Goff is already the Rams "starting quarterback."
