Recent history points to him starting. Bradford, Luck,Winston. Even RG3 Started right? My thought is not sure how to feel about Goff not beating out a guy who is pretty much a stiff. I know some will jump me for saying that about good old Case but look he's not very good and Goff should beat him out easily unless he can't get the offense, or read defenses well enough this early.Just my opinion.
They may be changing recent history. That's possibly because guys like RG3 started early by altering the offense so it included more college spread concepts. The result was a qb who wasn't adapting to pro style passing.
They are already saying in Phil that Wentz starts the season inactive. Some say, well, yeah, but they have Bradford. What I see is that they signed Bradford knowing they would make an effort to trade up for a qb---Bradford was always a placeholder.
And who knows about Lynch yet.
So maybe recent history has taught teams to hold back on starting rookie qbs too soon.
