I was reading something Snead said earlier this year... (sorry, forget which article), and in it Snead listed the 'problems' that prevented the Ram's from taking that next step. They were good reasons, and reasons which have been brought on this boards many times.
Excuses, if you will, and perhaps to varying degree legitimate. I think that to this point it's the only way Kroenke is assessing the situation. Some may argue it's the only way he 'should' assess the situation. With a new rookie QB this should, and I believe will, continue. But Goff is bigger than all the other 'excuses', (can't think of a better word). Miss on Goff and Fisher is gone. Hit on Goff but remain mediocre in the W column and Fisher is gone.
The fly in the ointment here is Fisher's contract... I'm not up to date... correct me if I'm wrong. He's contracted through this year and this year only, right? If so, that makes it a tough situation, maybe.... I have a hard time believing that Fisher himself isn't aware that he has to produce soon... and that if he can't, by picking Goff, he can't expect being awarded. Gotta think any new contract, or extension, will have to factor that in. - JamesJM
