Donald or Watt?

January 14, 2022 10:25PM
As much as I try to keep myself from caring about awards, I still kinda hope that Donald can take home another DPOY. The last guy that was this consistently dominant was JJ Watt of the Texans but injuries derailed his reign. Most guys never come close to dominating the award but he did and Donald has since then.

Injuries, age, or new stars usually combine to keep one player from winning over a long series of years. So, Donald is already in rarified air. Donald has been good all year and could take it home but TJ Watt is challenging him as far as my impression. That he tied the sack record and the Steelers are in the playoffs will only help his side of things.

I wonder who the voters are leaning toward or if they are waiting to see what these guys do in the post season? I know that doesn't technically count toward the voting but I would imagine it still has some influence if the votes aren't in.
