So, as y'all know I'd normally be in between my 2nd and third mock, but I have no combine to work with. There are numbers that matter a little, and numbers that matter a lot when it comes to certain positions. There are also numbers I know the Rams brass specifically cares about.
So, this will be an ongoing list (the other was as well, but more predictive) of players of name recognition who got helped or hurt by their pro day so we can start to kinda figure out who might be there at 57 and at the end of the 3rd.
I like a fast 40 for WRs (this year, we already have a 3 cone guy), but am more impressed by fast 3 cones and short shuttles by most every other position.
Only a handful of pro days in the books so far and 4 of my "under the radar" guys are no longer under the radar.
Questions and comments on players welcome ...
Good scouting this year will land us 3rd round picks all the way through the draft. Trading back and getting an extra 6th or 5th or even 7th could make a difference given the talent of our scouting department. I am also happy for the Lions, who will have a solid GM with a ton of picks so they can start to flip their program. I hate it when teams are perennially bad.
