So maybe it wasn't something McVay planned on doing, but at least he recognized 13 personnel as a viable option when the WR room got a little dinged up. And now, building on last year's success by actually working on 13 personnel this offseason and thru camp, not to mention adding Max Klare to the mix, the Rams' 13 personnel package should take off like a rocket this year.

And that's what makes all so special. It clearly was not part of the plan for last year but McVay "adjusted" on the fly. That's what good coaches do and I am not sure any coach has done it better than McVay.

McVay clearly is one of, if not the best most innovative coaches in the NFL. There is a reason teams love to copy him, steal his coaches and follow his leads.

Who knows what will be our game plan come mid to late season but I am confident that if teams start to figure out how to defend the 13, McVay will simply adjust and change things up again staying one step ahead of the defenses he will face.

Just when the defenses "think" they have the answers, McVay changes the questions!
