It worked well when they went to it, that's for sure. But it clearly wasn't planned. In fact, the Rams didn't even practice 13 personnel in training camp last year, according to Stafford.

So maybe it wasn't something McVay planned on doing, but at least he recognized 13 personnel as a viable option when the WR room got a little dinged up. And now, building on last year's success by actually working on 13 personnel this offseason and thru camp, not to mention adding Max Klare to the mix, the Rams' 13 personnel package should take off like a rocket this year.
