Stafford wasn't Stafford before McVay traded for him

If you recall the story in the media was "can Stafford win a playoff game?" It was ridiculous. Absurd really. But the truth is the way we see Stafford right now and the way he was commonly viewed back then are night and day.

So for example if McVay were to trade for Burrow, who you mentioned, who would he be after a few years of playing for McVay? Maybe he'd be Joe Effin' Burrow instead of just Joe Burrow. Maybe he'd even learn how to dress for gameday as well.
