The best part of the Simpson trade is the Rams are a better team this year for having drafted Simpson than they would have been if they had drafted anyone else.
If the Rams had drafted anyone else they would still have Verse and their 2027 first round pick and that team would not be as strong as the current team.
Why do I make that claim?
