Nope, not ignoring that at all 43. I just think Stafford will play at least 2 more years so drafting a QB high in 2027 would not be a huge need therefore no need to "burn a ton of Draft capitol".

I also think we would be better getting a FA QB to replace Stafford when that time comes.

I also think Stafford will play 2 more years - 2026 and 2027. And if the Rams did go the FA route these are the guys that are currently slated to be UFAs at that time. Of course, some of them (like Lamar Jackson) will be extended before then, but as it stands who do you like?

There are several names on that list that McVay might be able to work with but then again, a lot can change in one year and some new names might be added to that list.

I would try Jones, Trubislky, Cousins over a rookie. I have a hard time reading McVay and telling what "type" of QB he likes. He crapped on Goff, a number 1 pick in favor of the Wolf and also liked the Wolf enough to keep him on the team as long as he did.

What did we hear in defense of keeping the Wolf? "Well, he is a smart QB who knows the system and has some mobility". Turned out he DID know the system but wasn't talented enough to execute it consistently at this level and his "mobility" almost got him killed. lol

The we have Mr. Bennett who I originally like when we drafted him. We also heard how "smart" he was and also came with a lot of collegiate accolades too. We heard McVay "loved" Bennett too but Bennett's preseason and practice reps weren't enough to get him to QB2 and now we drafted his replacement at 13.

McVay has had chances to "develop" QB's that HE chose and gave up on one that was a first round pick because he couldn't develop him any further.

Not saying McVay didn't help those QB's grow or develop but if he did, he only developed them so far and none of them were developed enough to be starters except for Goff who has since been voted to the Probowl and played on some big games while putting up some good stats too.

I guess I question McVay's "evaluations" of QB's more than anything because so far, none of his chosen QB's have been any good. That's why I prefer a vet QB who already has a track record and might need a little less "developing" but maybe just need to be in the right system.

#HelmetHornsMatter

“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.

“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
