Ty is in the best spot possible for a QB that needs some development and time to grow. The best in the entire NFL.

Also agree "a lot of those guys were thrust into the starting role too early". Unfortunately, that usually comes with being picked so high. lol Usually bad teams are picking that high and almost always need a QB.

Sometimes it's better to "slide" down to a better team that can give you the time you need to develop and even then, some of them fail to develop.

I think Ty will have 2-3 years before he is asked to start unless Stafford misses time for some reason and like you said, that is a good thing.

Look what having multiple years on the bench as a backup did for Bennett and he came in with a ton of accolades and potential! Oh wait, never mind.
