Correct. The "odds" of Lemon getting playing time THIS year in a contributing way is higher than what is for Simpson doing the same. I did say "Then again, maybe a WR couldn't step right in either."
But that pick didn't happen in a vacuum. The Rams' picking Simpson allowed them to trade for Garrett.
***That's just not true. That's an "assumption" on your part. We really don't know that, do we? It is entirely possible they still could've worked something out for Garrett and still drafted Simpson. Maybe extra Future #1's and 2's? Imo, the drafting of Simpson doesn't rule out the possibility of still getting Garrett. It just might've cost more.
So the real world question isn't Lemon vs Simpson. It's Lemon and Verse vs Simpson and Garrett.
My point: the 2026 Rams with Garrett and Simpson has a better chance to win the SB than they would have had with Verse and Lemon. If you disagree with that how do you explain the dramatic shift in Vegas odds after the Rams got Garrett?
Ok, but this is not what you said in the post I replied to. You said: "Conclusion: the Rams are in a better position to win the SB in this all in year because they drafted Simpson than they would have been if they drafted anyone else.". You just added Garrett to that which of course changes the context of your statement. I agree with you about Garrett and Simpson if that's what you meant to say in the first place.
As for "Vegas odds"? "Vegas odds" are based on getting people to "bet" on something not so much on how true or accurate those "odds" are. I am sure you already knew that.
