This time last year the debate raged with a large contingent so sure he was beyond redemption. His fumble rate was blown out of proportion due to timing and a short sample size that did not include the rest of his career.
I am so glad that has been put largely to rest. So many refused to listen to reason. Of course, I do not expect them to admit it now. Surely there will be more chicken little narratives to come, but for now I am enjoying the calm waters.

Like you said, it was too small a sample size to deem him a chronic fumbler.
Just like, (I know it will piss some off) I still think that Xavier Smith is still a decent punt returner and not a chronic fumbler.
Up until that last game, nobody had him pegged as a fumbler.
Very small sample size of fumbling going into this year.
I am so glad you mentioned X. Yes, his fumble was at the worst possible time, but that should not define him and it appears the Rams agree. Recency bias and emotions frequently produce knee jerk reactions with long term consequences.
Perspective matters.
