my funny story about Leroy...

about 15 years or so ago, Valley Ram(Dave) and I went out to Phoenix to watch the Rams play Cardinals and we went to Hooters (of course) the night before for dinner.
We were in our Rams gear and our waitress was kinda excited to see us, I thought it was just me lol but she says "my dad used to play for the Rams!" we were like "cool!! No way! Who?"
She said "oh you guys are probably too young to remember him" trying to be nice probably lol
we said try us....she said "Leroy Irvin"
our eyes both got big and said we must be old cuz we certainly remember your dad!!! "he was one of our favorites!!"
years later I ran into Leroy at some Rams event in LA and told him that story...he cracked up laughing
He was such a cool dude ....Rest in paradise, Leroy
btw, I still have a picture of her and I somewhere out there in a cloud somewhere...hope to find it someday
