Speaking of AJ's issues, do we even want to resign him knowing his history or would it be better to sign Decker, or similar, now and just move on?
AJ is already signed for '27 and '28. It's the other 4 OL who are FA's after this season - Avila, Shelton, Dotson, and McClendon.
I think the Rams would love iit if Trost shows that he can play LG in the NFL. I can see them resigning Dotson and McClendon, having Trost take over for Avila, and finding a new center (whether that be Limmer, Dedich, or someone not currently on the team).
I suspect that if Avila signs somewhere else the Rams will get a comp pick and that probably factors in to the decision.
So AJ is the only one signed past this year and he is possible trouble right now. Do we have to start re-thinking AJ as a Ram beyond 2026?
According to Overthecap AJ is set to make some money. I know we have to play him this year but can we get out of contract ifhis legal issues continue or get worse?
linkI could see Trost helping at guard if needed but I cannot say just yet if he has a future there and we will still have to address the position and other OL positions too before next year.
I know Trost is getting some "hype" since being Drafted but I will believe it once I see it. Playing OL in College is not even close to playing OL in the Pros. Even the most talented can struggle at first so if he has to play, how will he do?
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
