Not sure about that as Namath's knees on the sloppy track would have been a recipe for disaster IMHO, however, Haden's small hands limited his ability to grip the football, however, nobody in that quagmire could have been good. It was just Knox never had much luck in postseason and that carried with him to Buffalo & Seattle. Allen also had some tough losses, but in postseason you have to take chances sometime that in the regular season, you don't ordinarily do.
Fred Dryer talked about that with Knox, that he played it the same way in post season as the regular season and teams were ready for them. Plus when Knox was with the Rams, he never allowed his QB to audible and many times the QB's knew the play call would not work, but Knox would instruct them to run the play called.
