I am torn on this trade. Rams gave up a LOT in the trade. And I mean a LOT.
Guy is 30 years already. Has he seen his best days on a football field already. Would not be suprising if he has.
Verse was a fierce pass rusher himself, on the good side of 30 plus cheap for another season.
Will this disrupt the locker room `?
Could the Rams have kept Verse if they had offered the Nr. 13 this season instead of Verse ?
Go Rams!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think they gave up an equitable amount for someone of Garrett's prowess. For instance, the 2027 1st round pick will likely near the bottom of the 1st round. I understand regression is a thing, but it hardly can predicted here. And...
the Rams have $20 million in cap space in 2026 and the fifth-most projected cap space in 2027, thanks to the Browns eating Garrett's signing bonus. Yes, they have room for ... Aaron Donald. Unlikely, but just imagine! There is no evidence to support that Garrett's best days are behind him. Plus he has so much more on his side such as more superior teammates and coaches. No idea on the comparison of the Rams workout regimen as compared to the Browns, but that could play in. One can envision him to play with more of a fire and desire to win that ring.
