Well, I didn't even think such an acquisition was realistically possible. I have no qualms about swapping Verse plus a very late 1st, a very late 2nd, and a very late 3rd (spread out over 3 drafts) for a generational game wrecker who can close games out. Especially when he's still at his prime (maybe the best ever) and has years left to play.
Chris Long's comment was that the Rams screwed the Browns.
This sort of thing just doesn't happen. He's in the class of Reggie White and AD. When you can get a guy like that you say "yes!".
But.... this likely doesn't happen if the Rams didn't take Simpson this year. Otherwise, they would have to be using their 1st and 2nd rounders to go after a QB.
