Garrett is a short term thing, relatively speaking, although he is a freak and may pleasantly exceed his projected career.
Keeping Verse and this premium draft picks would have been a longer term solution. Snead has been drafting well and those 3 low cost rookie contracts would have made it easier to extend some of our other studs on expiring contracts.
And the Rams before Garrett were already considered the best team in the league. Sooooo…
But if the goal is to win a SB this year then Garrett is a giant step forward.
I’m sure that the Rams know all this and decided to go for it now. Can’t say that I blame them because another Lombardi in the trophy case is what this game is all about.
