Imagine Puka and DA, coupled with Ferg, Klare/Higbee and Parkinson/Davis.
Like the article says . . .
what does the defense choose to try and do?-
Stop the run? . . . then Stafford takes the biggest mismatch of a slow footed LB on Ferg/Klare/Parkinson = win
-
Stop the pass with extra CBs and safeties? . . . Stafford runs KW/BC with the best run blocking OL in football plus 3 TEs blocking as well = win
You'd need 3? Emmanworis to play against this setup. One definitely wasn't enough judging by what the Rams did to that Seahawk D last year.
It also makes sense as to why the 13th, 61st or 93rd pick were not used for a highly rated #3 WR - he won't be on the field much.
We Ram fans are still stuck on Rams running "11" majority of the time (needing a big #3 WR) . . . but that seems like it's past at this point?
McVay is ahead of everyone . . . again . . . although it does look like more teams will be copying him and running "13" of their own.
