If it did, he'd be signed already in all likelihood.
The question is... will he accept his current status?
Perhaps, if he's a "bet on myself" kind of player, he'd agree to a shorter (2-3 year) deal in the hope of getting his big payday down the road.
From what I've seen, though, he does not seem to be that type.
