Reminds me of our 1972 Second Round Pick, Texas Longhorn RB, 5'11" 205 lbs, who had a similar running style & who never backed away from contact.....
The Late Great Jim Bertelsen, who passed away May 07, 2021 at age 71.
JB was my favorite Draft Pick that year in 1972, my first year in the military.
I remember reading in SPORT magazine, or some other sports publication back then, over half a century ago, how Bertelsen was named by the new Rams HC Chuck Knox in 1973, to be the Rams punt returner, and per the magazine article, Bertelsen said he was scared to death, as he hadn't returned punts since High School.
Knox wouldn't have become GroundChuck if it hadn't been for the heroics of Jim Bertelsen, and of course, Lawrence Don'tCallMe"Larry" McCutcheon.
