In 1989, the 49ers won the Super Bowl with Joe Montana at QB.
In 1994, they won the Super Bowl with Steve Young at QB.
No team has ever won two Super Bowls with two different QBs in such a short period of time.
I want to beat that record.
I want to see Matthew Stafford win another Super Bowl (or two), cementing his status as a first ballot Hall of Famer.
After he retires, and in (far) less than five years, I want to see the Rams win another Super Bowl with Ty Simpson at QB.
A lofty goal, no doubt, but I think that is EXACTLY what Les Snead and Sean McVay are aspiring to accomplish. They want an unprecedented continuity of success beyond Stafford's retirement date.
I'm totally up for that!
