When is a good time to draft a QB? Or is it that ya'll are just better with giving a future haul for one? And I know the answer is actually tied to many debates, of which this is but one.
To me, the #13 in this draft was not as consequential as a boat load of future #1s. I don't see a #3 receiver or additional lineman being the trigger that puts us over the top. Our trade did that.
I voted no because I feel we could've added to the current roster a pretty damn good player that could or would be able to contribute to the current Super Bowl run we are on immediately or during the season if he was a depth player.
Yes, this team is really good but there not real deep in some areas when it comes to depth. As been discussed here by many, OL, WR, DL and even CB might have been better options at 13.
IMO, 13 was too valuable to just a pick a player that only has 15 starts and won't even see the field for at least another year or two and by then, our SB window might be closed or a little closer to closed than what it is now.
Simpson on the bench does nothing to help now and is so inexperienced the odds are pretty good he would be overwhelmed by NFL defenses if called on too early.
You mention "is it that ya'll are just better with giving a future haul for one?". Who says we'd have to give up a "haul" for one? Maybe a good QB slips or we go the way I want and add a vet that needs a second chance and/or change of scenery ala Sam Darnold.
How do think Darnold would perform in McVay's system? There are other vets out there and will be after next year too.
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
