of course a rookie QB who if we are lucky will never see the field next year doesn't help win us a Super Bowl this year......it isn't about just next year when your QB is pushing 40 years old.
Like I said, the Rams already shored up their biggest need with pick 29 that is going to help us win the Super Bowl this year.
the Simpson pick is about the future, so trying to focus only on one single year is myopic when it comes to evaluatiing the actual pick as far as it being good pick or not
We have the luxury of having a stacked roster, a rookie WR, RB, TE, OT was most likley going to be for the future also as opposed to taking one of our starters job.
Like I said, I wanted Lemon, but also can see why the Rams went with Simpson
I think we are seeing things differently about how we should have addressed a more immediate need. Yes, we have a "stacked" roster...of starters. Our depth is questionable. Especially the OL, DL, LB and maybe WR if Adams or Puka are gone for any length of time.
It's all good 2k. We can agree to see it differently. As I said, there's no right or wrong here. Just opinions.
In the end, we all want the same thing bro. Another ring or 2. And I think our best chance at that is THIS year...not 2 years from now. If we can stay healthy at our weakest spots we should be ok. Let's just sit back and see what happens and hope for the best.
