Regarding those 3 players. 1st, if my board was identical to everyone elses, why do one? So i am glad I have differences. I bet it gets even more different as the rounds go.
Jordyn Tyson - I am assuming he is low due to his injury history. He was regarded as the top WR all year until the hammy issue popped up. So most have moved him from 1st to 3rd or even 4th WR. I don't think he is injury prone. The knee was years ago and is a non-issue. He broke a collarbone, again, broken bones do not make you injury prone (unless you have boneitis, all you Futurama fans) so if he goes full out on the 14th, I will stick by my ranking, if he doesn't, well, then I'm in trouble. That said, Tate measured in shorter than expected, weighed in the same as Makai Lemon, who is 3" shorter and ran a pedestrian 4.53 40. he has always been a 2nd fiddle on that OSU team as well. Lemon (from what I have heard and or read) was not good in his team interviews at the combine. That makes me nervous. I think he has enough dawg in him to survive on the outside, but not full time. So to me, Tyson is the only WR in the draft with true #1 WR upside. Hence, the high rating.
CJ Allen - I see a guy that is a team captain, gets his defense aligned, and makes the plays he is supposed to make, in both phases. He can cover a bit and can blitz. He is not the worlds flashiest LB, but he can take on blockers, doesn't get caught out of position and when he gets his hands on you, you are tackled. Some guys like the flashier LBers, I'm good with old-school punishers that don't make mistakes.
Faulk - so other than being an NDSU Bison fan, I do enjoy Auburn since Kevin Greene went there, so I have seen more AU games than any other team. Faulk took a step back from '24. He was focused on more in '25 and was less of a factor. I feel like top tier guys should find a way to still make plays. He is a DE in running downs for now. So with all that combined, he slide down my board a bit. Esp. considering the premium that is put on getting to the QB. Now, with that said, I think he has pass rush ability and 9 sacks in 2024 prove that, but he wins on power and not speed or a bag full of pass rush moves. He is going to need to develop those tools, because speed will never be his game. He is young and from what I understand, a well liked and high character kid. So I am rooting for him.Unless he ends up in the NFC West.
You're the best, sir. Much appreciated! And I am pulling for Tyson at 13.
