Rams get: 1-18, 3-97, QB J.J. McCarthy
Vikings get: 1-13
I'd be OK with this if the Rams still felt they could get the same value of player at 18 that they would at 13.
Getting the 97th pick and combining that with the 93rd pick that they already own could allow for a trade up or to use one of these picks to fill that huge gap that they currently have in the later rounds.
I still have hopes that the Rams see something in Bennet but McVay's last words on him seemed like they don't see him as a #2. So, if the Rams can still land a veteran #2 QB and McCarthy is going to compete with Bennet this year for the #3 spot then I think that's great. However, I bet that neither Bennet nor McCarthy would make the PS if waived. So, whichever them won the QB 3 spot would have to be on the roster all year and the other one would certainly be on a new team giving "intell" on the Rams offense to a competitor for at least some period of time.
