I see your point. However I believe Jimmy would like to be in LA at the right price and McVay would prefer Jimmy. I think they already have something worked out but the difficulty is the amount of time. It's possible that MS will play 2 more years which makes the money different especially when considering what all our players next year are going to want. Someone's salary is going to have to be offloaded. It's simply complicated and I don't envy Rams managements position.
I think you might be right. It wouldn't surprise me. I just have a feeling that Jimmy wasn't expecting back to hack healthy years from Stafford. Jimmy is getting older himself. I think that's playing into the equation. If he signs with a team today the expectation is that he's a backup. If he waits, he'll find a place. We know at least one qb will get hurt by mid mid-season. My suspicion is that he wants to wait for an audition.
