I think he would be affordable.
He is reportedly liked and respected in Rams locker room.
He’s certainly an experienced vet and knows this Offense inside out.
He could win a few games should Stafford be out for a while due to injury.
All these things are quite valuable to the Rams in their SB run season.
However…
McVay would have to modify his offense to accommodate Jimmy G’s strengths and weaknesses. Then again, McVay would have to do that with ANY backup QB under those circumstances.
If Rams draft a QB then they probably don’t need Jimmy G’s services nearly as much.
I suspect that there’s a handshake deal between Rams and Jimmy G already and has been for some time.
