That's why I asked the question in the first place. A CB who can press should be able to play soft coverage when the situation requires it. I would just expect that a press corner would be a much better athlete and usable in multiple ways.
Yeah, it's easier to play zone for sure. Easier to defend a running QB too. The ability to play press coverage is just an added bonus for a DB.
