Emmanuel McNeil-Warren

I have been on the Indiana WRs for a long while now, and Cooper Jr just seems like a Ram. Don't let the fact that he was almost exclusively a slot this year, he was outside last year. So inside/outside versatility, explosiveness to stretch the field, a dense frame making him hard to bring down after the catch and works all 3 levels.

Fields is a supersized X that the Rams have been seemingly looking to find for a while now. He is a contested catch machine with vice grips for hands. His production was limited at Virginia due to QB play and at ND by the run heavy scheme. His best football is ahead of him IMO.

McNeil-Warren is probably SAF 2 or 3 and a guy I finally got to see at the Senior Bowl. He did not disappoint. Think about this: Since 2015, only a handful of FBS safeties have posted a season with both a coverage grade above 88.0 and a run defense grade above 90.0, while also generating pressure on more than a third of their pass-rush snaps. That exclusive club includes Derwin James - and now, McNeil-Warren. He's an absolute chess piece that Shula could have a lot of fun with. The dropoff from Downs to him is not that bad. I seriously doubt he gets as far as 29.

I'd take EMW then Cooper Jr. then Fields in that order.

A buddy of mine told me back in July that McNeil-Warren would be a 1st round pick. I didn`t believe him, but you are confirming that he might be right lol. It would just have to be to a specific fit team that knows exactly how they intend to use him. He also may not run that fast. Thieneman will put up better combine numbers and may be the 2nd safety drafted.

What I like about McNeil-Warren is his physicality. Big hitter and peanut puncher who had 9 career forced fumbles. Rams definitely need more physicality on defense. I think he will be there at #29, but I doubt the Rams go that route, especially if they take a CB like McCoy at #13,

If CB Jermod McCoy is the pick at #13, who are you taking at #29?
