The only way I want the Rams to take Downs is sitting still at 13, or unless a trade up for him a spot or two that wouldnt cost too much. I love him as a player and think he would be exactly what this secondary needs if they can land a #1 CB in FA. Downs will change this defense, he is simply that good, Ed Reed good? Maybe not that good but I would see him as a better prospect than D James of the Chargers.
Downs can line up anywhere. I really like McCollough as someone to replace Curl, so I don't expect the Rams to pay Curl. They have too many other guys that need to get paid who play more important spots for the Rams. I think Kam Kinchens is a better overall player than Curl.
Downs is my favorite player in this class.
