Funny all the rumors about him becoming the next head coach here or there never materialized.
Do you think NFL teams felt he has more to prove, under achieved, or just doesn't have what it takes to be a head coach?
I personally thought his corner backs were the team's weak link from the start but always thought the defensive front would cover up that weakness. Turns out the pass rush was average at best and just not good enough to cover it up. So, is it Shula's fault? I'm thinking teams saw it that way.
According to multiple posts on the internet, Shula supposedly bombed his interview with Pittsburgh in spectacular fashion.
So, it sould like "doesn't have what it takes to be a head coach" might be the correct answer.
