I just don't see how the Rams draft love given the contract to KW, Corum's emergence, drafting Hunter, and McVay just not really being all in on RBs Sunday to Sunday. I'd like to be wrong about that
And I highly doubt Love is even on the board at #13. If I`m the Saints, I am sprinting to the podium with the Love card at #8. The Saints were 28th in rushing last season and 31st in average yard per carry at 3.7. Love is exactly what QB Tyler Shough needs to take some pressure off of him.
KW and Corum may not have Love`s freakish ability and breakaway speed, but their production as the season went on was very impressive. With McVay, it`s predominately about the passing game and they definitely need another true weapon at WR before another RB. And of course at least one CB.
I think both McVay and Snead have shown their philosophy when it comes to drafting RB`s. They are willing to draft one every year in rounds 3-7, knowing there will be hits and misses. They found KW in round 5 and Corum in round 3. Hunter was a round 4 pick last season. They may even look to draft another RB on day 3 this year, but possibly not if they still see something special in Hunter.
Snead has taken a RB in 12 of his 14 Rams drafts with all of them coming between rounds 3-7, with the exceptions of Todd Gurley (Fisher pick) in round 1 and Cam Akers in round 2. The only 2 years he didn`t take a RB were the two consecutive years after they drafted Todd Gurley.
