Here's my first draft board of this offseason.
A few words about the methodology. As this is a RAMS draft board, I take into account both the overall quality of each prospect AND the fit/need for the Rams. Consequently, there are players who will likely be consensus Top 25 prospects on most general draft boards who won't make the cut on mine. I'll update this periodically (i.e. post Combine, Pro Days, etc.) and expend it to at least 50 prospects before the draft.
With that, here's my preliminary Top 25 prospects for the Rams:
1. Fernando Mendoza, QB, Indiana (6’5, 225)
2. Mansoor Delane, CB, LSU (6’0, 190)
3. Jermod McCoy, CB, Tennessee (6’0, 193)*
4. Makai Lemon, WR, USC (5’11, 195)
5. Jordyn Tyson, WR, Arizona State (6’2, 200)*
6. Reuben Bain, DE/EDGE, Miami (6’3, 275)
7. Jeremiyah Love, RB, Notre Dame (6’0, 214)
8. Arvell Reese, LB, Ohio State (6’4, 243)
9. Carnell Tate, WR, Ohio State (6’3, 195)
10. David Bailey, EDGE, Texas Tech (6’3, 250)
11. Peter Woods, DT, Clemson (6’3, 215)
12. Caleb Downs, S, Ohio State (6’0, 205)
13. Denzel Boston, WR, Washington (6’4, 209)
14. Avieon Terrell, CB, Clemson (5’11, 180)
15. Kayden McDonald, DT, Ohio State (6’3, 326)
16. Francis Mauigoa, OT, Miami (6’6, 315)
17. Brandon Cisse, CB, South Carolina (6’0, 190)
18. KC Concepcion, WR/PR, Texas A&M (5’11, 190)
19. Colton Hood, CB, Tennessee (6’0, 195)
20. Olavaivega Ione, OG, Penn State (6’4, 330)
21. Spencer Fano, OT, Utah (6’6, 302)
22. Sonny Styles, LB, Ohio State (6’4, 243)
23. C.J. Allen, LB, Georgia (6’1, 235)
24. Monroe Freeling, OT, Georgia (6’7, 315)
25. Emmanuel McNeil-Warren, S, Toledo (6’2, 202)
* Ranking presumes medical checks are positive.
Since there is no shot at Mendoza for our Rams those three players are my favorit picks . Tremendous talents all three of them.
Love on offense along with Stafford could be devastating for opposing DCs.
