As 21 said, past his prime. Some the drops were lack of timing but also just plain drops. Too many. But he would have had nearly 1000 yards receiving and likely 15+ TD's if he stayed healthy for the regular season. And appeared to play well in the playoffs. I doubt he has more than another year... but I do think he has one but maybe a bit more limited role. I also think the Rams should (likely via draft) bring in a WR. Killing the horse here but T. MacMillian would have been perfect. So I hope the Rams get someone that can have that effect on the offense. Not sure what to make of Ferguson... and what his role will be. Looked like a 2nd or 3rd round rookie... basically what he was. Glad the Rams were able to trade out of the 1 spot because he definitely didn't have much of an impact.... assuming they really would have taken him there.
Anyway, I feel certain he will be back. I HOPE they bring in another QB. Cracks me up hearing announcers drooling over the plethora of weapons at Stafford's disposal... Adams is a shell of himself, the running backs are good but not Faulk-like good. The TE's? All average at best. And the OL was solid... sometimes great. If you actually surrounded Stafford with great players, then he can actually show what he's capable of. Hoping the fountain of youth keeps him playing at a high level for a few more years... He has Puka... that's basically it as far as greatness goes. A real second coming of the GSOE is possible.
Puka says healthy, Rams bring in an impact WR, Adams continues to be effective, Ferguson develops, the running game continues to be effective and the OL remains strong... should be a great offense... like record breaking. Put a real threat at RB... holy...
Figure out what's ailing the defense and should be a hard team to beat... even at Seattle for the championship.
