I can live with Al Micheals as his voice is one that I grew up with along my football passion journey over the last 40 years.
That's not to say that he has had some clunker calls that were really annoying (Donald ending SB play in '21). I actually think he jumped the shark right there.
I enjoyed his call in '99 with Bruce and the gang winning the SB but it does seem like he is losing steam these days.
I will admit that the only broadcaster I did not really enjoy the entire body of work was Phil Simms. His voice was way too bland for me and was never to be included among the legendary greats, imo.
I will add Brent Musburger to the greats as well. I will never forget the CBS Sports pregame NFL Today shows with him, the Greek, Irv Cross and Phillis George.

I enjoyed Al for years like everyone else but as you said he might've jumped the shark in '21. There's just too many missed calls, wrong player names and numbers too,
I don't hate the dude, I just would rather give some new people a chance. JMO
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
