I’ve already read several articles naming names of assistants that might (probably) be offered promotions while going to another team.

Hiring quality assistants has always been one of McVay’s superpowers but this coming offseason might really stretch him to the limit.

One good thing is that Rams might be the premier landing spot in the minds of quality prospects. Who wouldn’t rather learn under McVay given his stellar track record? And Kroenke has never been stingy about compensation for guys McVay wants. Quite the contrary. One advantage of having a hands off deep pocket owner, huh?

I don’t know which offseason has experienced the most departures, but this one might take the cake given so many openings are already out there for HC’s alone and you know many of them will at least attempt to poach current Ram up-and-comers. The ripple effect might be far and wide. Sigh…

I’m sure that McVay has been anticipating this and has backup plan after backup plan already to go.

Per my count, here are the most departures under McVay and where they went.

Following the 2024 season, the Rams lost 13. 5 + 6 (exec/Front Ofc.) + 2 (college)
NFL- Carolina (1), Cincinnati (1), Houston (2), Jacksonville (5 execs/Front Ofc, 1 coach), New England (1 exec/Front Ofc.)
NCAAF - UCF (1), Idaho (1)

Following the 2023 season, the Rams lost 10. 9 + 1 (college)
NFL- Atlanta (7), New England (1), Seattle (1)
NCAAF - Pittsburgh (1)

Following the 2020 season, the Rams lost 10. 7 + 2 (exec/Front Ofc.) + 1 (college)
NFL- Chargers (1), Detroit (2 execs, 1 coach), Green Bay (1), Philadelphia (2), Seattle (2)
NCAAF - 1 (Kentucky)
