I know we all were disgusted how we lost the game in Seattle. And clearly if McVay had more consideration for STs we would have.
But the honest truth is that the game in Seattle should never have been a do or die game.
That game was set up from the beginning for Seattle to win. It was on their turf, after 3 days rest. we had just come off a tough game against a potent Lions team fighting for their lives. The Seahawks OTOH, played a toothless Colts team who just inserted a geriatric Rivers in at QB, and Seattle barely beat them at home. The Seahawks were fresh and ready, and it showed late in the game.
But, we can’t blame the schedule makers, because we put ourselves in that position by blowing the Panthers game. If we had taken care of business in Carolina, then losing in Seattle would have been tolerable. We could have absorbed that loss and just win out and still got the 1 seed.
We should have easily been 14-3, and had the 1 seed on tiebreaker over Seattle.
So losing to Carolina really cost us the 1 seed, more than anything.
You could say any of the losses cost us the 1 seed. We should have won all those games.
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
