Redshirt Freshman who leads the nation in passing yards. Had a 608 yard passing game this season against Charlotte.
Came out of high school as a backup with no offers. Started working with Patrick Mahomes QB specialist coach Jeff Christianson. Christianson got him on North Texas as a walk on through his relationship with head coach Eric Morris.
Morris is now leaving North Texas for Oklahoma State. You have to think Mestemaker is following him there.
Lots of people say Mestemaker will be a sure fire 2027 1st round pick.
