Yeah corner feels to me like a position that has suffered due to more of the elite players choosing wideout. Overall I think in future drafts it's going to be a supply/demand priority when all things are equal. If at any point you're looking at a corner value vs anything else take the corner. Philosophically speaking it probably will start slotting just behind QB and OT in that regard, as QBs are that important and hard to find and OTs are limited by scarcity of how many men are that big with good feet.
Felt really good to see Forbes put up his best game in horns thus far. I don't watch the Commodes ever really, but I would guess that is the best game he's played in his NFL career because if he were playing like that in Washington they would not have cut him. Also it is interesting in the timing, that it comes after adding McCreary to the room, not to mention after Williams has started to show his old form. And this reinforces something I believe very strongly in, that competition breeds excellence. This is a universal truth IMO and it extends into everything, more than just ball.
Agree this is Stafford's best. He hasn't looked like this since our title run in the playoffs, which is a very good sign for us. Question is can we keep him healthy and in this form until late December for another title run.
OL needs to get on a roll. Saints have some quality up front and our line played well, but now that we have our five best OL back and healthy the plan has to be getting them all into a consistent high level of performance, and if that happens Stafford and this pass game should allow us to chase the top seed.
Ferg is an important development for us, as a big weapon is a problem for any defense that is already sweating how to shut down Nacua and Adams. But also it is important because Nacua may miss time, and if that happens who's going to move the chains over the middle. I don't think that is Adams. Kid looks good hitting seams and wheels, but now I want to see his workload increase so we will know if he is going to be a key player for us in this playoff run.
I like how Corum's speed showed yesterday, but I will say his vision isn't all that great. I think that and second effort are what put Williams ahead of him. Also I'd really like to see Hunter get involved in a game like that where we are up big so maybe they can find a way to dress him and get a look at him in some of the games ahead.
Re: Atlanta's pick I like how it's looking. Their next game is Indy, who got beat up yesterday and will be angry and at home so that is likely a loss for the Falcons. Then they have a couple division games which will loom large, hopefully they drop one of those. If that happens then they get the NFC West and Tampa in weeks 14-17 which are potentially 4 losses. Thinking 10 losses, maybe one or two more if things go our way. Which is very exciting for the draft.
