You should always listen to Merlin

Anyway I tell people that I was high on Simpson prior to his struggles down the stretch. And many don't believe me. But I was. My main take on him was that if he could sustain that level of play through the playoff stretch he'd be a very high pick.

Unfortunately his play down that stretch gave me a lot of concerns. And when looking at those vs his short sample size, being on the bench a few years, etc., I then arrived at my current take on the player. Which is that we reached for him.

But aside from all of this I am not someone who wants to be right more than I want our team to win. So I am all in on Simpson. He's a Ram.
