There's been some debate about his play calls. And while the 4th and 1 last night is deservedly scrutinized, last night was yet another example of our offensive woes his players failing him and not the play calling. I counted 11-15 points let off due to missed field goals (would've been a closer field goal of not for Kyren's drop), fumbles (Corum in 9er territory which was 3-7 points minimum and Kyren at the goaline which is another 7), and blocked extra points. So we scored 23 but left 11-15 points off the scoreboard, bringing us to what should have been 34-38 points. The eagles game was similar, as was the Texans' game. All in all it seems like Mcvay is dealing, but his players are failing.
Lots of room for improvement. In play calling, and execution.
