I was shocked to see Kupp only had 15 yards on 2 catches. Yikes. The downward trajectory for him of his last couple of years as a Ram was a reality, and it is showing up already in Seattle.
I really don't want to see him get to the end of his career like this. he meant too much to this team, for that. But, there's a reason the Rams made the hard decision to move on. It was pragmatic, performance based, and it left sentiment and emotion and former accomplishments out of it. Not sure why Seattle thought they'd get a different guy for a $45 mil contract. I realize only $17.5 mil is guaranteed, but that's a lot of money to pay someone who is apparently not going to be much of a contributor.
