He's always been average at best. I get that Limmer failed in big moments in the Philly game, but he was a 6th round pick with room to progress.
Liked Shelton as a backup, not as a starter. He was part of a leaky Bear OL a year ago.
The Shelton signing was more about his ability to communicate the calls across the line to ensure everybody was on the same page. The Limmer debacle was based on the line call plus Limmer is also proving to be a liability in pass protection in Shelton's case, he is a better pass blocker and they brought him back for his ability from the neck up as to the neck down.
