Whether it's the jet-sweeps with Tutu/Whittington or the TE flexing out in 12-personnel, the late motion that McVay employs either out-leverages the defenses or (at best) keeps them thinking so they just can't come downhill.
I know that Stafford prefers the 5-wide empty looks (and I'm sure that we'll see it at some point this year), but I think the less of it...the better for our offense.
