I put this in another post, but maybe this team just needs to work the bugs out considering there was no preseason. We'd have had three TDs against a stellar D, if not for our lunky TE. Considering we're usually here crying about the four FG output of our O, I"ll take what we got Sunday.
Considering we lost two offensive lineman, I've seen it go a lot worse. Dedich may be the better option. I have a feeling we're going to get to see how a lot of backups do.
I know you were really fired up to get more RB mixed in. Didn't happen. It's pretty apparent McVay feels Kyren gives us the best chance for success on any given play, and since I really didn't see anything from anyone in preseason that would discount that, I don't understand why you insist on forcing the issue. Kyren doesn't look run into the ground. Would I like to see a rotation so he gets less tread on the tires? OK. But it goes back to when people were trying to call Royce Freeman "Thunder" to Kyren's "Lightning". Hogwash. Royce was never a true compliment to Kryen, and that's why he's not here anymore. Until we have a guy that brings game like Kyren does, I'll take Williams all day long. Haven't seen anything that makes me thing giving Coren or Hunter more plays makes us better on O.
Davis or Ferg over Parkinson? I don't even know why Parkinson is on the team. People keep telling me it's blocking, but he doesn't have numbers to stand on.
Last, the Stafford to Puca thing is just as frustrating as the Stafford to Kupp thing was. You put this on McVay, but I think it's more a Stafford thing. Like with Atwelll, I don't care what you do with him, Matt just doesn't see him. Other than sitting Puca down, I don''t know how you "force" other guys into the mix.
I guess my take is I feel you think the offense looks "broken" or misused. To me it just looks rusty. There are things that may need to digest and metabolize, like the running game and all these receivers, I just think there are other things you seem very frustrated over that just aren't that primary. We'll see.
