I guess it could have about then.... I know my mom tried to order me stuff for Christmas about 4 years in a row & then just gave up.... But that was probably 68-72
That sucks! At least she tried for you. I think the actual catalog continued until 1993 after a 105 year run!
If I remember correctly, around 1993 is when the NFL catalog started where you could buy Team gear that was supposedly the same as the ones worn on the field by the players. I got several of my Russell jerseys from that one and my Starter Satin jacket too.
Did you order anything from the NFL catalog?
The first Sears catalog was published in 1888, initially featuring watches and jewelry. Sears, Roebuck and Co. was founded in 1886, but the first catalog specifically focused on watches and jewelry was introduced in 1888. The catalog expanded over time to include a wide range of general merchandise and became known as the "Big Book"
Sears officially stopped producing its general merchandise catalog, often called the "Big Book", on January 25, 1993. This marked the end of a 105-year run for the iconic catalog, which had been a fixture in American homes. While specialty catalogs like Craftsman Tools and the Wish Book continued for a few more years, the "Big Book" ceased production in 1993.
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
